At Beckers, our success and environmental footprint depend on a responsible and forward-thinking supply chain. Our suppliers develop and manufacture the raw materials we rely on, making their commitment to sustainability essential. We want to inspire our supply chain partners to take action and create a positive impact across our industry.

That’s why we launched the Beckers Supplier Award in 2019—to recognize suppliers that drive sustainability forward. This annual award celebrates those who go the extra mile, embracing responsible business practices and setting new standards in our industry.

Through our Chain Up! initiative, we actively promote sustainability in our supply chain. We work with EcoVadis to assess suppliers using a trusted points-based system, ensuring that sustainability remains a core priority. Many of our key partners now use EcoVadis themselves and have reached our sustainability threshold.

The Beckers Supplier Award honors the supplier that makes the most progress each year. We announce the winner in the Beckers Sustainability Report, reinforcing our belief that collaboration and transparency drive industry-wide change.

We feel proud to work with outstanding partners and encourage more suppliers to join us on this journey. Together, we can set new benchmarks for sustainability and build a better future for our industry.

2024 Beckers Supplier Award winner: Wanhua Chemical Group in China

Wanhua Chemical, a leading isocyanates supplier founded in 1978, drives sustainability through its strong collaboration with Beckers Group. The company operates an advanced environmental management system that aligns with Beckers’ 2030 Goals. Since 2018, Wanhua and Beckers have worked together on the isocyanates portfolio, strengthening their partnership through shared sustainability efforts.

In the latest assessment, Wanhua increased its EcoVadis score from 58 to 72 by continuously investing in sustainability management. The company actively supports Beckers’ initiatives and contributed to the April 2024 supplier webinar by supplying PCF (Product Carbon Footprint) and LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) reports, committing to regular updates.

Following its motto, “Chemistry Making Life Better,” Wanhua aims to reach peak carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2048. The company takes clear action to conserve energy and reduce its carbon footprint.

Wanhua focuses on key sustainability initiatives, including:

  • Developing more sustainable chemical solutions
  • Optimizing production processes to minimize waste and emissions
  • Investing in innovative technologies that support a circular economy
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and social responsibility to benefit customers and surrounding communities

Through these efforts, Wanhua Chemical continues to raise the bar for sustainability in the industry, earning its place as the 2024 Beckers Supplier Award winner.
