Progress in 2024
We are deeply committed to making a positive contribution to people and society in everything we do.
People with Impact
To empower People with Impact, we focus on our social impacts on our employees, business partners and communities. Being a force for good at every touch point starts and continues with people.
“By investing in our people we are not just building a stronger company, we are helping to raise the standard of care for our world.”
Our ambition
By 2030, we aim to be the top employer and the obvious partner for sustainability in our industry.
We are committed to ensuring that people, including our employees and the communities we operate in, benefit from our efforts. We believe that sustainability is not just about protecting the planet, but also about promoting social and economic well-being for all. We’re determined to make a positive difference and create a more sustainable, profitable future by caring for our planet and people.
Based on our DMA, many of our key topics managed in our People with Impact pillar are material and will be important to report on and manage going forward. Our key focus areas remain the same. We strive to cultivate a workforce that is diverse, motivated and empowered. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where every individual, regardless of their position within our company, is encouraged to continuously learn and grow. Ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, partners and customers is paramount to us, and we actively promote safe and healthy work environments. Finally, we advance social engagement with our local stakeholders to support sustainable development in their communities.

5.0
total recordable work-related injury frequency rate (TRIFR) per million hours worked in 2024. Unfortunately, our TRIFR increased in 2024 due to a fire at our site in the UAE, as well as other minor incidents and ergonomic challenges.
Living Wages
In 2024 we conducted our first mapping of living wages in our regions based on data from a third-party, against our annual salary review, to better understand how many of our employees earn a living wage.
99.7
of our employees earn a living wage, with 0.3% earning between 80-99% of a living wage, excluding their bonuses.
Social engagement
Our combined efforts to benefit the children and youth in our communities create a positive impact on both our employees and local communities. In 2024, we further assessed our impacts and our initiatives to maximize impact.
47%
of countries (excluding our new office in Singapore) where we have community engagement activities demonstrating a measurable positive impact on children. As this is the first year we’ve measured impact, no comparable data is available from previous years.
Safety in focus
In 2024, we experienced a fire at our site in the UAE, where one colleague was injured. This experience underscored the critical importance of fire safety and prevention. As a result, we are intensifying our efforts in this area. Our comprehensive safety program focuses on three key areas: fostering a strong safety culture among our people, ensuring our facilities and equipment meet the highest safety standards, and maintaining rigorous processes and compliance.
Supported by 25% of our planned investments in the four years between 2024 through 2027, we are establishing safety across all three focus areas on every level.
In 2025, we will focus on fire safety, as well as incident prevention and the implementation of new clean, safe and efficient procedures.
Continuous learning
We have further embedded the Beckers Academy concept, as we know how eager and curious our colleagues are to learn and grow. We continued our Leadership Journey program in 2024, with more interactive sessions on relevant topics, such as team collaboration, for our current and future leaders, with more than 70% of our leaders having participated. Beckers Academy is also about properly onboarding our new hires. We launched a research and development onboarding program with 75 participants.
